How do I book a home for a short stay?
Enter your city and dates, compare available homes, then book online. For instant-booking listings it's confirmed right after the secure payment.
How do I apply for a long-term lease?
Build your tenant file once (income, guarantor, household, supporting documents), then send it in one click to the listing you like. The owner receives a dated copy of your file and replies through the messaging.
How much does a rental cost?
For short stays, the nightly price is set by the owner and the total depends on the number of nights; a deposit (card hold) may apply. For long-term leases, the rent and charges are shown on the listing and paid directly to the owner: only a possible application fee goes through domilinko. Everything is shown before payment, with no hidden fees.
When do I get the exact address of the home?
Never before commitment: listings only show the city, the postcode and an approximate point on the map. The exact address is shared as soon as your booking is confirmed or your application is accepted. This protects the owner as well as the current occupants.
How does the deposit work?
For short stays, the deposit is a card hold (pre-authorization) that isn't charged if the home is left in the same condition; it is released after the check-out inventory. For long-term leases, the rental guarantee is set up off-platform on a blocked account: domilinko only shows the amount for information.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. Cancellation terms depend on how far ahead of the stay you cancel and are shown before payment. A sufficiently early cancellation is refunded per the applicable policy.
How do I list my home?
Create an account, click "Become an owner", then add your home: photos, surface area, rent and charges, furnished or not, availability, and above all the energy rating (EPC), mandatory for any rental listing in Belgium. An identity check is required before publication.
How am I paid as an owner?
For short stays, you connect your Stripe account in minutes and the tenant's payment is paid out automatically after the stay starts, minus the commission. For long-term leases, domilinko never collects the rent: the tenant pays you directly, and the platform earns through the owner subscription.
What if there's a problem during the rental?
You can message the owner directly and report damage from your account. The check-in and check-out inventories of fixtures are the reference, and everything is logged for easy follow-up.
